What on earth are you doing? What's the gist? Hhhmmm?
My name is Sonia and I'm a filmoholic.
Hello fellow members of the real world and welcome to my weekly film reviews with a twist. The sharp slice of lemon here will be the application of real life to what can sometimes be frothy, sentimental and downright ludicrous cinematic representations.
The basic structure of each post will be a little bit about what I've been doing over the past few days which has led me to select a specific film to review. For instance, if I lost my car an appropriate (though long and painful) film choice would be Dude, Where's My Car? Or if I had spent the last few days confronting the emergence of zombies in my local town, I would have the fantastic luck of being able to choose Shaun of the Dead. You get the idea.
This will be followed by some chatter about the film and the application of two mighty fine rating systems. The first will be a Sonia rating, the second will be an art imitating life rating. For more on the rating systems, have a browse at the 'How' page.
So that's the gist.
Here we go...
